What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am lucky to receive money from Givedirectly, I want to start a business that will help me and my family. The business will be able to sustain me and my family because I am not working right now besides coaching the community team. The small cassava farm I managed to made every year is not sufficient to sustain the family and pay for my children school fees. The business will provide us the means to educate the children, get food and other family necessities.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What makes me happy in the past six months is when my community team, Beh Town United won a march against Young Star from Monrovia 6:1 on yesterday, October 17, 2021. Many people think that rural communities don't know much about football game because of the agricultural activities that overwhelmed us daily. As such, winning against a team that is from an Urban center that has many opportunities made me feel very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship facing me now is money to do business and cater to my family. Since I graduated from high school in 2016, I have not gotten any paid job that will provide me with income to start a business and meet my family needs. I have just been a volunteer coach for the community team for which I am not being paid. Even though I made cassava farm each year, but the farm doesn't provide enough money to pay the children school fees and provide food for our house. Any assistance that Givedirectly can give to me and my family that will help us improve our lives will be highly appreciated.
