What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used my last transfer to dig up a pit latrine and built a permanent toilet we did this because the one that was there before was being shared and it was unhygienic, unhealthy even for the children and it was not in good shape it looked like it would sink in anytime. the rest of the amount I used to buy food for the house and some clothes for the children.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I used most of it to buy 36 iron sheets and timber in readiness for the construction of a new house for my family when I receive the third transfer. I then used the balance to buy a sack of dry maize for my family's food.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in mu daily life is that I have very high hopes of constructing a new house for my family, something I could not dream of if I had not received the transfers.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used my first transfer to rent a garden using 4000 KES on which I used 2500 KES to cultivate maize. I then bought a mattress which I did not have before and used the balance on buying foodstuffs for my family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy the moment I received the money because it was planting season and I really needed money to cultivate.

We plan to spend the transfer to construct a bigger house. We also plan to spend the transfer to start a small business.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Our proudest achievement is that we have managed to buy household items like furniture. We managed to achieve this through savings.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that we have faced in life is when my child was sick and we couldn't get money for his medication.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I am in the farm weeding. I feel very happy because it is a source of livelihood for my family.
