How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved significantly in such a way that I am healthier compared to the past. I can afford to buy nice food and this has boosted my immunity. I have also accessed a piece of farm land for maize cultivation. With this I am assured of enough food supply during the dry season. Life would have been so difficult had GiveDirectly not sent us the cash transfers. We would have been malnurished and living at the mercy of hunger.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,Give Directly did so well to help the poor community by sending them cash transfers. There is no other organization that has done great things in our community. I cannot hide the joy that I feel ever since GiveDirectly came to our aid.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the second cash transfer to hire a farm land worth UGX 1000000 and I bought a cow worth UGX 400000. I spent UGX 150000 to buy stock for a fish business. I bought cassava produce worth UGX 50000. The balance I plan to spend it on purchasing food.
