How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build my house and complete it because I want my children to have a house to inherit from me, the house I am living in with my children belongs to my husband parents and I don't want my children to have problem with their other relatives because of it in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by being kind and patient with us during the time of interviews, I also love how the transfer is being send to us through our mobile money accounts without any third party being involve. I haven't seen any wrong thing about GiveDirectly yet since they came to this town.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used all of my second transfer to buy some building materials to start my house project, I want this house to be completed as soon as possible so that I can have a place to call my own.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am bless to receive transfer from Givedirectly, I want to use it to build my own house. I need to build my own house because the one we live in now is a family house belonging to my mother and my siblings. As it is now, my family is growing gradually in that we need to have our own place so that our children can inherit it in the future. Building my own house has been my life time dream but because of money, we have not been able to build the house. Even though I work on the farm while my husband work as Laboratory Assistant at the community clinic, the money we get is not enough to pay for the children school fees and buy food for the family. Therefore, if Givedirectly bless me with money it will help me achieve my dream that will bring happiness to me and my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What makes me happy in the past six months is when I joined Islam during the El Mubarak celebration of this year August. My entire husband families showered me with gifts, and that it has become a memorial in the family for me joining their religion. Even though I was a Christian, a member of the Pentecostal denomination, but the decision to join Islam brought relief in my marriage and that I was finally accepted in my husband family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship facing me now is money to pay for my children school fees, buy food for the family and build my own house. Even though my husband is working as a Laboratory Assistant in the community clinic, but he barely receive pay regularly because the government delayed their payment every month, and that the farm only provide daily substanance for the family. As of date, the government owed my husband three months salary (from July to present), something which makes me to credit most times to cater to the family. By the time the salary comes it go towards our debts leaving us without anything to buy food and other family necessities. We don't burn coal as others does to supplement their family income, instead, we are only depended on the little farm and my husband meager salary that doesn't come regularly. Therefore, any assistance that Givedirectly can give me that can improve me and my family lives will be highly appreciated.
