What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying 2 cows 30000 KES, bought 2 bags of maize 8000 KES, bought a cupboard 5000KES and used balance to boost my wife s business and buy daily meals.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If i would never received this money mylife would have never changed i was among the poorest in the village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion Give direct did a good work they allowed people to spend the money on there own.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on taking my wife's dowry payment to my in laws because I had never taken anything as bride price to them. I then bought a small cow that I will keep for milk. I then spent the rest on paying school fee for my sister who is high school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I am now proudly and legally married to my wife and I am no longer ashamed to go visiting my in laws because of non dowry payment.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Since I have stayed with my wife for so many years without paying dowry, l would like to use part of the money to pay dowry to her parents. Secondly l do not have land my own land and I enjoy farming so I would like to use some to hire a piece of land where l can farm and provide food security for my family. Finally l would like to expand my wife's business to substitute my source of income support my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I have struggled so much through casual labour and built my own house and bought sheeps and goats for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am fearing the live of my children since we do not have proper source of income to educate them, more so when they will be in high school therefore they might end up doing casual work like us within no future if does not get any support from any where and is my biggest hardship in life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always very happy during rainy seasons because mostly in the morning because many look for me to work in their farms knowing that I will get money to take care of my family.
