How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My family and I don't have zinc house of our own. We have always been living in a thatched house which has lots of work. You have to change it every 1 to 2 years if you don't want it to leak during the raining season. So with this unconditional cash received from Give Directly, I have started the construction of my zinc house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly is extremely doing well. Providing us with unconditional cash to better our lives is a wonderful thing. Because of Give Directly, my family will soon have a better home to live. We will not have to worry about rain anymore.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
We moved here after I retired from Teaching in Buchanan, because my retirement benefits was never enough to maintain, we couldn't stay in the city, since we came back home, things have been very challenging with us, we don't live the standard life anymore, we were left with no option but to farm, and because we are residing on an Island like, our farming goods are sold at a very low price. Upon us recieving this case, we will change the roof of our house, buy better mattresses, and establish a better business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Last year November, a nephew of my sent me some money, that money help us buy some food and better clothes for December, that kind gesture brought joy in my heart.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Our house is old, and the entire roof have damaged, due to this, doing the rainy season, we don't sleep at night, because our roof leaks so badly.
