How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal I have set before receiving this transfer is to reroof my house. I have decided to reroof my house from thacth to zinc because my current house roof is badly leaking and the distance involve in getting new thacth is far. Thanks to Givedirectly for reducing my burden of cutting thacth in the bush to reroof my house through the cash support. I really appreciate everything Givedirectly did for me and I believe that with my tranfer from Givedirectly, few months from now, my dream to sleep in decent house will soon come to pass.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly has done great jobs for me and the entire community. I am grateful to Givedirectly for the cash support. My children were sent out of school for tuitions payment and I used part of my transfer to send my children back to school. Thanks to Givedirectly for the financial empowerment. Every work Givedirectly has done in our community is helpful and do not need any improvement.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy five packs of assorted zinc nails along with one cartoon of roofing nails to start roofing my house. I also bought one tin of gasoline to fuel generator to saw planks for my house and kept the balance money to pay two cashual workers I have hired to saw my planks. Thanks to Givedirectly empowering financially. I believe that with my transfer from Givedirectly, my planned to live in a decent house will soon come to pass.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I had carried the phone with me to the next town but didn't know that the money was on it. The very day I came back to Neakai my home town my daughter told me that GiveDirectly workers came there to talk to me inorder to know whether I have received my payment. It was then I knew that my transfer has been sent. The next day when I went to the network spot to check my phone I saw my payment from GiveDirectly. At that moment I was so happy than before. This money will help me renovate my house and pay my children's school fees. I am telling GiveDirectly thank you for this opportunity.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been living in thatch house since my parents bore me. Like I said, I am grateful for this opportunity. The biggest difference in my daily life since I started recieving payments from GiveDirectly is that, I am now sleeping in a house that is covered with zinc. I do not wake up when the rain is falling to set dishes under the leakages from the roof. Moreover I have my own phone now which I communicate through.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my most recent transfer on zinc. My house has been in deplorable condition and getting finance to renovate it has been my challenge. I bought zinc and nails to reroof my house. During the rainy season we can not sleep because of the leakages on the roof. This one time opportunity that I have now I am going to make good use of it to better my living conditions.
