How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now in that, I sleep in a iron roofed house which I constructed using GD transfers. Prior to getting these transfers, I used to sleep in ramshackle grass thatched house that was leaking eachtime it rained. I used my transfer to get farm land which I have planted cassava in and this will help curb down food insecurity in my household. Lastly, I bought household items like beddings, Utensils which I lacked before GD's intervention.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD has transformed my community to great extent for example people have constructed houses, bought livestock, land, Household items among others. This has brought joy and happiness in the society. According to me, GD has not done anything bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I loaned out Ugx 1000000 in exchange of land, Paid school fees, Medical bills and bought household items.

Receiving this money means I will be able to buy a piece of land, complete the construction of my house and buy household items.
These will make my home a better place to live in.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I am seated with my husband.
We are able to plan for our family together.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of farm land.
I am not I position to cultivate as expected because of the limitations of space.
The little that I am able to harvest usually is not good enough to support all my household needs because I have to sell part in order to provide for my children's education needs and other needs of the family.
This leaves me with very little to depend on as food hence food shortage.
