How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE " I hope to have a comfortable house of my own in few years from now.
Am not starting the construction process now because we will soon be busy with farm work and therefore, i won't have the time. So am buying all of materials and just keep it until we are don't with farm this year".

RE " Givedirectly is doing well, and am very happy. Because, i didn't work for this money and givedirectly has decided to help me with it therefore, i have to use it wisely.
It's like telling me go and build a new comfortable house of your own.
Because this thatch house you're see here can't stay long for one bit, so it's costly to maintain since the thatch have to be change almost every raining season".

RE " I spend the most of my recent transfer on purchasing zinc because i want to build a new decent and comfortable house of my own.
Because the one am currently living in is leaking too much, all the thatches are dry and damage".

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am hoping to accomplish my housing project in this coming year from GiveDirectly transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly is doing excellently well by providing this cash transfer that is helping me in building my house, and they could do better by covering the entire county including all the districts to avoid other feeling left out or discriminated.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
" I was home and heard other people yelling that they have received alert from GiveDirectly. Therefore, I ran for my phone and saw mine. I was very much excited. Because, being a farmer with 3 kids living in this old house, was always my worry. So the moment I got the message, I remembered my long time plan of building a new house".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"Things are fine with me now, because I was really suffering. But with GD intervention, I can now boast of things I never had. I can now picture myself living in a house of my own. Whenever I imagine being in my own house, I feel so good.

"Since I plan to build a house, I took my money and kept it because I don't want anything happening to it. So my money is safely kept, while I await the other transfer".

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Upon receiving this grant I will use the entire portion of the money to start a business of my own because it has always been on my mind to start a business but there is no money.

In the last six months what brought happiness to was that went I heard that Givedireclty was in my district .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Currently the main challenge I am facing is the issues of paying my children fees in Zwedru because I am currently unable to make farm due to my strength.
