What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan long time ago that if I have enough money,I want to build a house. I have difficulties in paying my children rent .I want to build a very big house and each of them will have a room of thier own. I moved in this town since 2018.I build a small house to start up my family. As time went by, I started my little hustle and bought two lots of land. The land is not yet developed due to lack of finance and children school fees. I am out of job, but I do farming every year to keep up the family. Even though the farm work is difficult, but it help me a whole lot.I use the money generated from the sale of crops to buy food, pay school fees and the little was kept for emergency.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I have never in my life see any group of such. Neither a NGO to do or hear what Give Directly is about to do or is doing. Other Groups will come but the only build hand pump, palava hut etc and that's all. Today Give Directly have come to make most of our people own phone and understanding about mobile money transfer. It's a wonderful news of our time and the young generations. I am so happy. Thanks for the good work. My two lots will finally be developed.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I challenge and my biggest challenge is to build a very big big house on the two lots of land I bought. Considering my age; I am getting older and want to leave them together in one home. My bigger children are all out, but the smaller ones are here with me and they are my future. I am not actively doing the farm work like before; the only thing now is to get this money and then the money will helped me build the house.
