How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goals are to build a house and send my children to school, cultivate a larger farm with cocoa and rubber instead of just plantain and cassava for feeding. I have lived in a thatch house all my life, my children have never been to school before because I couldn't afford to sponsor them. Now all that is about to change, thanks to GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Giving us transfers to change our lives and giving us hope for tomorrow is mkre than enough. What more could we ask for? It is so overwhelming what GiveDirectly does for us and as sucb there's nothing they're not doing well.

I have purchased additional zinc and planks for my new house. In the soonest possible time, I intend to kick start my building project. I have also bought some food for the house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will use my transfer to build my house and send my children to school. I did not go far in school because of the lack of money and I don't want my children to be like me because if they're educated and I get old, they'll be able to help me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Even though things are difficult with me, when I call to Fish Town where my spouse is and they inform me that she's making little improvement, it brings me joy and happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I'm currently in debt. My spouse have been sick for the past 6 months and has been operated on twice. All through, I spent all of the little resources that I had and also went about crediting just for her to get well. So, lack of finance is a major challenge for me.
