What did you spend your second transfer on?
Before eceiving financial aid from Give Directly, I had a small house which had also grown old. I therefore dedicated a total of 42000 KES to the construction of a new house for my family when I received the second transfer. The balance was used to buy a solar lighting system to save my family the expenses of buying paraffin on a daily basis.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now live in a bigger new house which has really helped me regain my dignity and self esteem. I feel so confident talking with my peers because I am at par with a majority of them now, thanks to Give Directly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have is how I can raise school fees for my children. We are not employed and the little we are getting is not enough for food and school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is Anytime of the day when I get money to buy food for my children. This makes me feel happy because during that time I do not have stress on how my children are going to eat.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a tailor but I have no place like a shelter to start my business so receiving this money is going to boost my business by building a structure for my tailoring business and other things like building a toilet.
