Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my farm as usual. It was one hunter who told me about the message from Givedirectly. I hurry up with what I was doing and got to town just to check my account. Fortunately, I saw the money and was very happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have money to excute my dream which makes me happy, but before then I have to struggle to get money and not even enough to build.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I will buy zinc with my first transfer to build a zinc round house in order to leave from the thatched house. The thatched roof has been leaking and such leakages can lead to the damage of the house. We will have to constantly cut thatches from the bush to revamp the building which is another headache, but with the zinc house, we will have a piece of mine.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I have always taught of building my own place to move because I have a mate and the two of us are living in the same house with our husband and our rooms have no doors for secrets. Whenever I am in my room, people will just enter on me or us which at times really make me find bad. So I plan that when I get money, I will build a two bed room house for I am my children."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"What has brought joy to me for the past 6 months is my farm produce. Because of the lack of food am faced with and looking at my farm producing more rice really bring joy to me. At least I will be able to yield more rice and keep some for next rainy season.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"One of the challenges am facing is food business most especially during rainy season. Whenever we are in rainy season, food becomes a major problem for I and my family. We buy a cup of rice for $80.00 Liberian Dollars and when my husband doesn't have money, we normally cook plantain to eat or go to bed with hunger."
