Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
While I was in my bedroom during the early morning hours at about 8am, I received a mobile money transfer from GiveDirectly. I shouted, jumped and danced all around the room because I've realized that with this money I could change the old tatch on my house to new zinc and also register my fifteen years old daughter in Gbediah Town Public School.I also felt very relieved because I knew I could achieve two of my greatest desires ( buying zinc and paying my daughter's registration fees) through GiveDirectly mobile money transfer. I'm grateful to God and thank GiveDirectly for the change they've brought in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My family and I have always dreamed of living in a house roofed with zinc like few of our neighbours in this town. I've also always wanted my daughter to continue her school and graduate one day but I could hardly earn enough money from working on the farm only. My family and I, on some days didn't even have enough food to eat; but with this money transfer from GiveDirectly, I am able to fulfil all of my biggest desires. GiveDirectly is indeed a blessing to me and my entire family. This has been the biggest difference in my daily life knowing that I'm able to keep my daughter in school and I'm also opportune to put new zinc on my house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I received my mobile money transfer, I bought building materials (two bundles of zinc, planks and nails); I also purchase my fifteen years old daughter school materials for this academic year 2021/2022. Furthermore, I was also able to pay my daughter's registration fees at Gbediah Town Public School. All these wouldn't have happened without GiveDirectly's mobile money transfer.
