I spent my entire third transfer to buy building materials like iron sheets, timber and nails which I have used to build my house
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I now have my own house and am very much at peace because I will not pay rent anymore. I would not have done this without the transfer
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion , GiveDirectly has uplifted the living standards of recipients in our community. I have not seen anything that GD did not do well.

I spent my second transfer on starting a cereal business and also on purchasing additional stock for my shop business so as to get income to feed and provide for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the ease with which I feed and provide for my family. Thanks to GD.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
From my first transfer, I sent some money to my mother as a gift, paid tithe in church, bought iron sheets and also clothes for the children in order for them to be decent like other children.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am currently living in a rented house and i am planning to spend the entire second transfer to buy building materials to build a house of my own in my compound.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy a piece of land where I can establish my own homestead and buy materials like sand, cement, timber, round poles, nails and iron roofing sheets which I will use to build a house for my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked as a community health worker. The money I earned during that time enabled me to buy some cattle and a piece of land where I have put up a few houses that I rent out.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is ill health. I have arthritis and the condition has often hindered me from working on some occasions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is usually in the afternoon when I go for choir practice. I usually have a good time because I interact with fellow singers.
