Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to focus my transfers in farming. As we approach the long rains season, I want to use my transfers in farming such as buying hybrid seed, fertilizer and even hiring labour on the farm so that I can be able to get a good harvest at the end of the transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have really witnessed a big change in our diet since I started receiving these transfers. This is because my income from casual work and farming was not able to help me meet my family needs and demand sufficiently. I would strain as the head of the house because I had a lot to deal with financially. I would have to forgo some meals just to ensure we have other needs in the family-like medication, school fees and others. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have been buying food on a monthly basis which has helped in reducing my daily expenditure. We have never missed any meal since I started buying food in bulk once a month because of GD transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I know I will get a very good harvest at the end of the long rains season. This is because I plan to use my transfer on improving my harvest through buying of farm inputs such as hybrid seed and fertilizers. I have seen how they help to make a good harvest from my previous harvests. When I get the harvest, I will be able to sell some to help me raise money for school fees for my children. Getting a good harvest also helps ensure there is food security in my house which pleases me a lot as a parent. I will only have to worry about school fees for my children because we will have enough to eat in the house after the harvest. I would not want to beg any more as it was the case before the transfers.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The difference in my life in the last four months is that I have always had food for my family. I no longer strain to feed my family as it was the case before the transfers. Anytime I receive the money, I always ensure I buy food in bulk on a monthly basis. This helps to reduce my daily expenses because I do not have to buy everything on a daily basis. I only buy the necessary ones on a daily basis but the rest I buy on a monthly basis. This has reduced my daily expenditure at a high rate.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to continue savings so that I will achieve my goal of starting a business for my wife. I would want to give my wife an income-generating activity so that we don't only depend on my income. I would want to share the financial burden with my wife through her business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have savings which I am planning to use in starting a small grocery business for my wife. In the past, I did not have any savings because my income was used up on a daily basis. Anytime I had any financial emergencies, I would have to borrow or take a loan from our table banking group. This was burdening me so much because the whole family depended on my small income which was stable. I decided to look for a better way to boost our income hence I thought of business. I am glad I have the money to start a business for my wife.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I know I will have started the business for my wife. This will help to reduce my financial burden on me. In case something happens to me, we will still have an income which will help us meet our needs without many struggles. I know I will achieve it through the transfers.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that my family has always had three meals a day. This was a rare case in the past before the transfers. This is because of my income which has not been much to support all our needs and ensure we have food in the house. With GD transfers, I have been able to buy food in bulk which has been very helpful. My family is very healthy as a result of the food we eat. I also feel my family at peace.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to buy a sheep. I would want to have an improved life better than what I have now. Livestock is a very good investment whose value increases on a daily basis. I know my life will change for the better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Since I have been dependant on a small income from the motorcycle business, I was not able to achieve most of my goals. The income was only handling most of our basic family needs. I could not improve my life as I would want to. When I started receiving these transfers, I used it to buy building materials such as cement, sand, and ballast which I used to plaster the floor of my house. I no longer have to treat the diseases my family used to suffer as a result of dust from the floor.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, my life will change in that I will be having livestock. I am determined to have livestock in my life. In my area, livestock is a sign of wealth hence I would want to be among the wealthy in the village. I don't want to be the same.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been buying a few bags of cement every single month with an aim of making sure that I cement the interior parts of my house. I had been leaving in a poor structure whose floor had been swabbed using cow-dung not because we wanted to live in such a condition but because our financial status could only allow to be in that status. However, I recently cemented the floor so well and I am happy that my family also appreciates that we have improved our standards of living.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My main aim for the coming few months is to buy more fertilizers from the aggro-vet shops around so that I can be able to use it in the on-coming planting season. The advantage of using the modern fertilizers is that at the end of the season, I can get a good harvest which will definitely see us through as a family for the next few months after the harvesting period.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
There are a lot of changes that have occurred in my life for the last four months as a result of the monthly transfers that I have been getting from the organization. One positive take away for me is that I can now hire casual workers who have been helping me in the cultivation process of my farm because for one, the piece of land is so big and I cannot handle the job alone and finish in good time.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I will be saving cash every single cash so that I can be able to buy a new motorbike of my own because right now I work for somebody who has entrusted me with his motorbike. So our agreement is that I have to give daily returns to the owner of the motorbike which again leaves me with very little cash at my disposal.
