How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I can now cultivate freely on my farm land which I had given out as security for the loan I had got. In addition, I'm able to provide basic needs for child like treatment, food and clothing. Previously, I could just rent where to cultivate and I also depended on my father for basic needs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money to clear a loan and repossessing my farm land. GiveDirectly has also enabled people in my community to build permanent houses. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought Livestock ( calf), clothing and food ( cassava flour). I have saved some money because I'm planning to enrol for a catering course.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have got back our piece of land that had been taken by the money lender. My self and child have owned descent clothes and beddings. I can also support my child now(paying medical bills and buying food). Previously, I had no hope of getting back this piece of land because I didn't have enough money to clear the debt and for supporting my child.

I was over whelmed with joy the moment I received my money because my wish to repossess our piece of land that had been taken by the money lender was going to be fulfilled.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to pay off a debt at UGX 1,000,000, I bought ground nut seeds at UGX 100,000, clothes and beddings at UGX 200,000, paid medical bills at UGX 100,000, ploughing land at UGX 50,000, food at UGX 20,000. I have not yet spent UGX 230,000 but I am planning to spend it for weeding my crops and supporting my child.
