Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to add more stock to my business. I usually collect eggs from my neighbour's home and resell at a nearby town at a fair price. This business has been earning me some good money but the challenge was about small capital which I had invested in it due to other responsibilities of paying school fees for my children and buying food. I am thinking of spending part of my next transfers in the next four months so that I would make more profit.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Since I started receiving transfers from GD, I invested in poultry farming and through this venture, I have been able to pay my bills. In the last four months, I have been spending part of my cash on buying feeds for the chicken. In a day I collect approximately 10 eggs which translate to KES 150. This amount is enough to meet my daily basic needs.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe in the next six months, I would be earning more profit through my business which is buying and selling of eggs. Since eggs are in high demand, and having good stock would be guaranteed huge reward which would enable me to pay school fees for my children who are in college and high school.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I used to struggle so much in doing hard jobs to get money to pay school fees for my children and also to meet household basic needs for my family. Currently, I no longer struggle so much because I have joined saving groups and I'm able to pay school fees on time
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goals for the next four months is to save some money in the merry go round so that I am able to pay school fees for my children who are enrolled in different schools. This will enable me to concentrate on my small business of selling maize and also on my farm.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I had saved some money in the merry go round group that we have in our village and this savings enabled me to start a poultry keeping project. I bought sixty hens from the market. This project earns me a daily income by selling eggs at the nearby market. Before, I used to struggle so much in doing casual jobs in the village to get an income to meet my household basic needs. Since the income was not much, I was not able to clear all the school fees for my children on time and they were always sent home. This was affecting their performance in school. Currently, I no longer do casual jobs and I have devoted all my energy and time on poultry keeping and also on my own farm. I am able to buy seeds and fertilizers and do horticulture farming which was not possible before. My children are no longer sent home to collect school fees because I pay school fees on time. We have enough food for the family and we are all living a happy life thanks to GiveDirectly. The support has changed our living standard.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I earn some money from the sale of eggs. Unlike before I would only depend on my business which had fluctuating income and this would affect my daily spending. The money which I got I spend on buying food and am happy that we no longer lack as I can afford to buy a variety of food hence getting a balanced diet. Also, we get to cook some eggs and this has really helped to improve the health of my children.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have seen a great change since I started poultry farming and my additional goal is to build a good poultry house to accommodate more birds and add more chicken to my flock. There is a huge reward in poultry keeping as evidenced by the earnings which I got from a few birds which I have kept for the last couple of months. I believe that this will earn me more money and thus our living standard will improve.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months, I have been spending part of the monthly transfer to buy chicken. As at now, the greatest difference is that I have got twenty chicken and over fifty chicks. Before I used to have only ten chicken and now I am happy having more birds and in a day I collect around twelve and fifteen eggs a day and this translate to between KES 120 and 150. the money which I get from the sale of eggs, I do spend to buy food for my family and save some amount for paying school fees for my children. Having this as an additional source of income, I have seen as a great difference.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I will expect to have grown my poultry farming. The earnings which I will get from this venture I would take my children to a very good school. I have been struggling to pay for the school fees but thank God that now I can pay with less struggle.
