How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The recipient doesn't have any new goals, she's still in the process of achieving her first goals.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing well by helping to improve your lives in this village because I wasn't thinking about building a zinc house. But through the help of giveDirectly I'm about to start building my own house. In my own mind GiveDirectly is not doing anything wrong to us.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought three bondle of zinc to start building my own house and I'm also keeping the balance money to buy planks and other building materials to complete my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My husband and I have been living in his big brother house for more than 3 years now because we can not afford to build our own house. Living in my husband big brother house has some disadvantages. My family and I are restricted when it comes to doing certain things in the house and we have lived with this condition for 3 years plus now. If I qualify for GiveDirectly cash transfer program, my husband and I intend to use the money to build our own house and vacate his brother place and to also establish another source of income like business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My family and I have been facing serious financial constraints and at some point my children were not able to go to school due to lack of finance. On several occasions, my children were forced to drop out of school because I couldn't raise money to keep paying their tuition. However, I was able to raise money before the beginning of this school year and managed to register my children in school and bought all their school materials. Being able to do such thing for my children and seeing them going back to school again brings me so much joy and happiness because I have failed on numerous occasions to play my parental role by providing quality education for my children.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Doing farming activities every year is very difficult and it depreciates an individual body very fast. I and my family are into rice farming and cassava farming because it is the only way we are able to find food to eat. Raising finance to find another soure of livelihood that will complement the farming work we are doing and even result in the minimization of constant or yearly farming is the biggest challenge I am facing right now.
