Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I currently do not have any cow and my plan, therefore, is to buy a young dairy cow for rearing. I am planning to save and top up the transfers towards this cause.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am expectant of a good harvest. I was able to plant some maize seeds using the transfer and I am glad that this year looks promising in terms of harvest. This, from the sale of some them once harvested, will boost me financially and also be assured of a whole years sufficiency of food.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to have hybrid cows for rearing. Hybrid cows such as Friesian breed of cows are a good producers of milk. Rearing them will mean I will have a constant source of income from the sale of milk in the future and I will have an extra activity to do apart from subsistence farming. This will be a source of income for my family. The income will meet household needs and one won't neccessrily need to do so much of casual jobs.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to buy a cow in the next four months. This is because a cow would give us milk, therefore, reducing the budget which I have been buying milk for some time and on a daily basis.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have been able to procure seeds and fertilizer for farming purposes. Earlier on, I did not have the ability to buy this vital stuff which happens to be the source of staple food for the family. If I grow maize and beans on my farm, I am very sure that my family will not run short of food.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Six months to come, I expect to have bought a cow since this is the next goal that I am planning to accomplish. It is from this cow that my financial gains will have improved because the money that would have been used in buying milk will be channeled to something else.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I have stopped doing much of the casual jobs in the village and I have dedicated much of my time on my own farm. This has enabled me to earn an income by selling the produce at the market.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save the money from the produce that I sell at the market to enable me to buy a heifer. This has been my dream and I know I will achieve it soon.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have expanded my horticulture farming. I used to do farming in a small piece of land and the produce was not much because I did not have the finance to buy the required inputs on time and also to cultivation. This was making my daily activities much harder than I expected. I used to buy food and it was so costly for me. After I started to received the money from GiveDirectly my farming style changed from that point, I had the capital to buy all the farm inputs and also to pay workers to cultivate my farm. Currently, I have devoted all my time and energy on my farm I no longer do casual jobs to get money for inputs again. The produce from the farm had increased and I'm able to sell the surplus at the market to meet the other basic needs for the family. We are so happy for the support it has changed our living standard
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect lifetime o change in the next six months in that I will have saved enough money from the sells of produce. I will be in a very good position to buy a dairy cow. I used to buy milk sometimes back and it is so costly.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The yields from my farming activities were very low. This is because I did not have money to buy farm inputs on time and spent all the time doing casual jobs to earn a living. This changed when I received the transfer from GiveDirectly. I used the money to buy tomato seeds and fertilizers. The crops are doing so well and I hope to harvest a lot in the next two months. This will earn a very decent income, unlike the money I used to get from menial jobs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to purchase a dairy cow. Now I have tomatoes which will be ready for sale in two months time. I will use this to facilitate my goal.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I had no enough money to purchase farm inputs but now I have. I used to do casual jobs. These jobs are hard to get because many people depend on them for living. The few jobs I got could facilitate some of the farm inputs and food only. Thanks to GiveDirectly. I have managed to use the transfers to purchase the farm inputs and now my yields have increased.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect in the next six months to have bought a dairy cow. I will manage this by saving the transfer from GiveDirectly and the income from the farm produce.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different. I eat well and I have more crops in the farm. I was able to buy more seedlings, enough pesticides and fertilizer. This was possible because of Give Directly transfer since earlier I could not afford much. I therefore expect a bigger harvest this time and more income as a result.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I plan to buy another cow. This is my new goal. We currently have a cow that will stop giving milk soon. Once we have another one, they will be giving us milk in turns. We will suffer less from lack of milk. We will also have some extra for sale and get an extra income from that.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Things are now easier for me. This is the biggest difference in my daily life. We used to lack funds for buying food and go hungry but now we are well fed. We used part of Give Directly transfer to buy food. The tomatoes that I planted using Give Directly transfer will also give us additional funds for buying food so my life is now much better and easier than before.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change for the better. In the next six months I expect to buy another cow for milk for sale and consumption.
