How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have not decided on a new goal yet; my main problem is to build my house which I am working on. My children's school fees was not completed, I used part of my second transfer to pay the rest.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is our saviour; they saved us from extreme poverty. GiveDirectly does well by talking to us calmly every time we meet. They also do well by fulfilling the promise they made to us. I haven't heard of any bad GiveDirectly has done; they are the best.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc and one mattress for my new house. I also use part of my money to pay three of my children's school fees. I kept the rest of the money to pay for workmanship towards my house project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"If we are eligible to receive this cash transfer, we plan sending our kids to school so as to better their lives when they grow up. My husband and I never had the opportunity of being educated from the difficulty we are experiencing, we don't want our kids to go through similar bad experience."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" Whenever I wake up and see my kids are all well and moving strong, it brings me the greatest joy. Although, I don't have the financial strength today, but I am of the conviction that my children will be my "Redeemer"."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" My kids are growing and we are all still sleeping in the room. This doesn't show any decency, but poverty has been the cause of this. I really want to build a bigger house where my kids can have their rooms while my husband and I sleep sperate, but the money to build the house has been lacking. Secondly, paying the tuition and fees at the school my kids are attending have been another major challenge. Access to cash has almost always been difficult."
