Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
When I started receiving transfers from Give Directly, I started saving with an intention to buy a dairy cow for rearing. This will not only be a reminder of the good work that Give Directly did in our village, but also a long term investment plan. I know with time the cow will reproduce and increase in number. The more cows I get the wealthier I will become.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am glad I was able to pay school fees for my two children; both of who are in secondary schools. With the aid I get from GiveDirectly and that from my retail business, I was also able to meet my family's daily needs. I am glad that my firstborn daughter is in her final year and for the past two years, I have been paying her school fees with the help of these transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to be in a position to be of help to someone else in need. I plan to invest more and be in a better financial position that will allow me to do this. I got encouraged when GiveDirectly; out of nowhere came to us and helped us. The fact that we are total strangers and they were able to trust us and gave us that much melts my heart. That really touched my heart and swore that I will always help someone whenever I am in a position to do so. I hope my business will grow, and boost me in this mission. I also wish to be in good health and strength to do all these activities.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been before I started receiving transfers from Give Directly. I never thought any of my children would reach high school because I was not financially stable. I knew they would all drop out of school. Were it not for the transfers from Give Directly, my children would probably be the laughing stock in the village despite their bright nature. I am glad for the support to ensure my children study well.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Now that this is my son's last year in high school, My expenses on school fees will reduce as from December this year. Once I am done with schooling my eldest son I plan to buy a dairy cow. Cows do well in this area because of the climatic condition of this region. Their feeds are also readily available and affordable. That is why I felt dairy farming was the best option. It will later diversify my sources of income from the sale of milk. I bet my life will be better than the way it is right now. I thank Give Directly for the big support!
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life ever since Give Directly came into my life is that I am less worried and less stressed about how to manage and pay school fees for my children in high school. I have a small retail business that has generates profits but may not be enough to pay their school fees and still cater for other basic needs. The monthly transfers that I usually get from Give Directly has really boosted me. I was able to expand my business and increase my profits. Generally, my income has improved and I can settle most of my needs
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My prayer and expectation for the future is to be financially stable. I wish to be able financially so that I help the needy the same way Give Directly came through for us. I also pray that God gives me good health and strength to enable me make all these plans come to pass.
