Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have recovered my farm land after clearing the loan and I can now freely cultivate on it to get food for my family's survival. This money has brought happiness in my life and I ask God to bless GiveDirectly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I got the mobile money message, I prayed and told God thank you for using GiveDirectly to change my life and lives of many in my community.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used my first transfer for paying a loan of UGX 1,500,000 which enabled me to get back the land that I had given out as security. I spent the balance of the money for buying clothes for my children and food.

Receiving this money means paying off long standing debts in which cultivation land was used as collateral security, build an iron sheet roofed house to save us from the current leaking one that's induces stress in looking for roofing grass.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is lunch hour after having a meal with my family. This because I am never happy if I fail to provide my family with what to eat as lunch.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship faced is shortage of cultivation land to grow more food for the family and not enough spacious house to accommodate the whole family, moreover, it leaks as well during rainy season.
