What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on leasing a piece of land that I used to grow rice. I believe when I harvest, I will have more money and that means stability for my household.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I could have not leased any land where I grow rice. That means that my children will be able to stay in school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly does well by giving cash to its recipients directly without passing through anyone even the local chiefs. On the other hand I have not seen anything GiveDirectly do not do well in.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on leasing a rice paddy where I have already planted rice and I am expecting a good harvest. I then paid school fee for my two children who are both in high school. I then spent the rest on buying 2 sheep which I will be rearing and a few household furniture.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I wake up every morning looking forward to a fruitful day in my rice field.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on two sets of uniform and books for my Twins who were then able to join High school (10,000 KES).
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money, I was extremely appreciative and happy because God had blessed me with a free monetary Gift and I could enroll my Twins in High school, without having produced any sweat at all. May God bless GD to live long and continue supporting other poor people like us.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use part of the money to pay school fees for my two sons who are in standard eight and are joining form one next year. Secondly l would wish to buy household items for my house. Finally l would like to buy a cow which can act as security incase of any emergency.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that we have struggled through farming and bought a piece of land where we staying currently .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship in life is lack of money to pay school fees for my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when l have got some casual work to do knowing that I will get money to buy food for my children.
