How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been able to marry a wife with the cash transfers. This has raised my self esteem. My community accords me enough respect because I have achieved what most youth have not. Earlier in time before receiving the cash transfers, I was very desperate and could not afford dowry. The cash transfers have fulfilled one of my future plans.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to send the poor direct cash transfers without segregation. There is nothing wrong that I can point out about GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought two cows and three goats. I spent the balance of the cash transfer to pay my dowry and feed the family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The GiveDirectly transfer made me feel very happy when I received it. This is because, I didn't have enough farm land for agriculture and I was confident that this money would help me get it.

I spent my first transfer on a heifer worth Ugx 300000, bought a music system at Ugx 400000 and mattress of Ugx 200000. I also hired three acres of land for farming at Ugx 800000.
