"My life is currently different in that, I now have a house in my rural home and I have the respect and dignity I deserve as a man from my rural village. Lacking a house in my home has bothered me for a while as it is a requirement in my culture that I should have built my own house by now. I am very happy and at peace that I now have a house in my home."

"I have a major project of buying the new water tank that will change my life if all goes well. I plan to make savings of close to 2000 KES per month for the next few months to come in order to be able to buy the new storage facility that will act as a reservoir for use during dry seasons like we experience right now. Water is a very precious commodity and without it human life can be quite unbearable and that is why I have to make effort to get the item within the next six to eight months from today."

"I expect my life to change a lot in the next six months because we shall have more land for farming and subsequently expect more income from the sale of farm products including milk and crops. After securing the additional acreage, we shall plant more crops and ensure our cows are well fed to provide more milk. Besides, I will be spending more time on my farm, and significantly reduce the amount of time and energy that I could otherwise be spending on my neighbors' farm. There be a switch on the main source of income from the casual work that I normally do at my neighbors' farm to being self-employed and working on my farm. Thanks a lot GD for giving us a helping hand at the best time in our life."

"Receiving this money will enable me to greatly improve my family's financial status. For a long time, I have relied on burning charcoal as my source of income but ever since the government placed a ban on it,life has become really difficult. The casual jobs that I do are not reliable at all and on many occasions we have been forced to skip meals. However, with this money,I see our situation changing for the better. I plan to start a livestock trade business within our market of Bamba since the business is very lucrative. I will also buy two oxen and an ox plough which will enable me to plough a larger portion of my land thus making my family to be food secure. The oxen will also be hired out to other farmers in the region at a fee thus enabling me to generate more income to take care of my family."
