"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is poverty. Being a single parent, I have the responsibility of taking care of all my household needs as an individual and yet there is no clear source of income. The little that I am able to earn from whatever small work that I engage in is spent on providing atleast basic needs for the family. This leaves me with nothing to save hence poverty. "

"When I receive this money, I will build an ironsheets house because thatching grass is being consumed by termites. I have spent the little money I get on replacing grass on my house. I will also buy some oxen and an ox-plough to ease agricultural practices. Previously I have been hiring ploughing services but with these transfers, I will be able to save that money and also make more money because I will hire it out once in a while. If there is some balance, I will also buy household items like beddings, furniture and cooking utensils."

"My dream as a parent is to see my children live better lives than the one I have had to endure. What better way to do it than through education! I will therefore, invest heavily in my two children's education by buying assets such as livestock that I can sell whenever need demands. I will also build a better house with an iron sheets roof top so that my husband and I can retire decently. "

"Through this support, we were able to acquire a new motorbike that does transport business. My family needs like food and medical bills have been met in time because the bike generates daily income. Previously, we didn't have a stable source of income as a young family, feeding and paying medical bills was a challenge to us."
