"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of farm land. I am depending on what my late father-in-law offered for my household. I have not yet got a chance to buy more because I can not afford. I do not have money. It is through cultivation that I am able to feed my family and also take care of all other needs yet the available piece of land is not enough. The food produced is usually not enough for my household to survive so sometimes I do casual labour in order to raise some money that can support. "

"When I receive this money, I will buy some piece of land that will help us in agriculture. We do not have sufficient land that we can grow crops for sell and food consumption. I will also buy 2 bulls and an ox-plough to help in clearing the fields. We have been hiring ploughing services from other people which is costly. But when we get our own, we shall be able to save some money that will be used in other home utilities. I will also buy household items like beddings, clothings and utensils to improve on our home."

"Lack of a stable source of income is my biggest hardship. I depend on casual labour in order to find a livelihood when agricultural produce is not able to sustain. I spend a lot of time in people's gardens which does not give me time to dig on my own land hence food shortage at the household. "

"Currently the woman I'm staying with as a spouse is not officially married to me. We have been courtshipping for 2 years and even got children. So, when I receive this money, I will use part of it as dowry to go and appreciate her parents so that other matrimonial arrangements can go forward. I will also use the other part of the money to rent agricultural land because currently we are doing agriculture on a small scale. This will give us higher yields that we shall use as food and also sell some so that we can have some income to sustain the household."

"I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have started buying building materials. I believe that I will have bought sand soil, gravel and bricks. I will be using my monthly transfers to achieve this. I have already started saving my monthly income and I believe by the time six months elapse I will have accumulated a good amount of money. I am very committed to building this house because I have suffered for a long time living in my current house. I thank Give Directly for coming through and giving me hope of living a good life"
