"Receiving this money will enable me to pay off the lease amount for my land that I mortgaged. I mortgaged my land because I fell sick and I did not have money, I got money for paying medical bills. When I pay the lease amount, I will be able to cultivate crops which I will eat and sell part of it on order to acquire what I do not have. "

"I expect to save and start up a business to help in the generation of income for the family. I believe by then the transfers will have reached the end and so I need something to help in raising income continuously. I depend mostly on farming to generate income for us and with the kind of responsibilities I have, it is always not enough. When I set up the business, it will help in easing the burden of working twice as much to raise income for our upkeep."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money to pay bride price to my parents-in-law. I got engaged with some lady and we actually settled as husband and wife but her parents took her a way from me because I did not fulfil the requirement. I am trying my best to find ways of bringing her back home so that she can support me in some domestic roles but money is not yet there."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with lack of money to pay school fees for my children. Some of them have had to drop out of school because I failed to raise money that could take care of their education needs. I still have a number of children going to school at the primary level but providing for them is not easy. Some times they are sent out of school for failure to pay fees in time. "

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money to cater for my child's education needs. I do subsistence farming for survival so whatever little harvest I am able to get is what I utilise to provide all my household needs. I sell part of it to provide school fees and all other requirements to see to it that my child attends school. I would want a better future for my child but how to get there is so challenging."
