"I expect to save and set up a business to help in generating income for my family. With the business, I can be able to get money to pay school fees for my other siblings and even get the chance to lift the burden of daily provision form my mother's shoulders. I shall have a way of significantly changing the lives of my family members."

"My life has completely changed after renovating the house. Previously my house was in a very bad state, it was almost falling because of the cracks of the walls and the broken building poles that barely supported the entire building. It was a difficult condition for my family and we suffered a lot because of this especially in the winter seasons. My children had contracted pneumonia due to the cold nights. This used to stress me as their parents because we were most of the time in and out of the hospital. I felt they were suffering because of me. All these problems came to an end when Give Directly came into our lives. We are now comfortably sleeping in a better house. I don't think we would have made all these changes without the support we got from Give Directly"

"Now that I own a few goats I feel that life is now better. Nowadays I can take loans or items on credit with ease compared to when I didn't have any asset a few months ago. I settled in keeping them because they have numerous benefits. They also reproduce faster compared to any other domestic animal. Their pasture is also readily available and they can survive in any type of climatic condition. They also require little supervision's this means they won't hinder me from doing other activities despite having them. My plan is to sell the offsprings in order to meet both my long term and short term goals such as paying school fees for my son. I will also be getting some manure from them which will help my farm to be more productive. Generally, I believe my living standard will also improve because of these goats."

"I expect to venture into livestock farming for the financial security of the family. I believe by then I shall have saved and bought livestock which will help in the generation of income to help us improve our lifestyles. By then, I shall have leased the farm and expanded my farming further and this will see us have financial security as a family."

"Now that I am unable to invest on anything else with my transfers other than paying school fees for my children, I do not expect any much change in my life in the next six months. I only expect to have it easy paying for the school fees because I know it would be tough without the transfers due to low income."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have built a decent and spacious house with the money that I received from GiveDirectly. We used to live in a small mud house before with my family, where this one house was the bedroom, kitchen and sitting room at the same time. I used to do casual jobs in the village and the amount of money I could get was so small and it could only gather for the basic needs and building a house was not easy. I could intentionally come home late in the night because I did not want my children to see me lying down there doing nothing and not planning to build a house for them, I feared to welcome visitors to my house because it was very embarrassing to host them outside the house because the house was so small and whenever I had some emergency meeting some of my siblings could stand outside the house to listen to the proceedings. My children were sleeping at their grandmother house and I was not happy at all. Currently, I have a spacious house and my children have their own private room to sleep and do their assignments on time. I no longer fear to welcome my church members and visitors into my house because of enough space and good seats to sit on. I come home very early after casual jobs to bond with my family because I no longer stay out late am so happy about the support because it has changed our living standard."

"In the next six months, we shall have accumulated enough money to buy a dairy cow. My husband and I have agreed on a monthly contribution which we will be saving towards the realization of this goal. The dairy cow shall bring great relief to us as a family especially on the cost of buying milk which has proven to be so costly to us."
