"The size of the land that I currently own is so small. I had to subdivide it into three portions; one for the house and compound, the other for cultivation and the last portion as grazing field for my cattle. Due to the small nature of the portions, the produce that I get from the farm I cultivate is hardly enough to sustain my family throughout the year. This therefore means I have to dig deep by doing some casual jobs on people's farm so as to curb the deficit. This for me is the biggest hardship I have ever faced in life."

"I have three children in secondary school and all of them require a total of USD. 450 annually for their school fees. I depend on casual jobs which aren't not usually guaranteed thus this makes it so difficult for me to raise their school fees. Sometimes I am worried they might drop out of school and lead a life like mine which I don't really want."

"A prolonged period of drought has been the biggest hardship we have faced in life. We experience a minimal amount of rainfall in the year which has lowered crop production hence complicating our life. The land under cultivation is only 0.3 acres in which we grow maize. Due to lack/minimal rainfall, we harvest only 3 bags which is hardly enough to cater for my family of 3. This has compelled us to at times depend on our children for upkeep yet we feel we are becoming a burden to them."
