"I'm an old man and I got separated from my wife 10 years ago,the entire time i was married I used to live in my wife's village and i even built a house there, but since our separation I decided to move back to my village and sadly I didn't build any house, because of that i had to be living in this tiny house,it's like for 10 years now I have been living in this kitchen like house and nobody offered me a better place to live in,as you can see i make Nkeka's ( seat mats) for a living and the money I make out of this business is too small for my upkeep not to talk of building a house,so thank you Givedirectly for this opportunity but as soon as I get the transfer my main priority will be building a house."

"We are now looking forward to have a warm and comfortable home. We always struggle every rainy season due to heavy leaking of the house which makes us to always be switching places to sleep even in the middle of the night. Hence we shall buy iron sheets, cement for the floor and plastering so that the house withstands rains and winds. The other money will go towards food, house utensils and also buy some livestock especially goats for rearing and selling in future."
