"About three months ago I decided to go into the bush to cut some stakes for the construction of my house but I don't have money to pay people bring the stakes to town. I am an operation patient so I was advised to avoid some hard work such as lifting weight. Up to now I still live with my mother in law. If Give directly send me any money my first and foremost plan is to pay people bring my stakes to town and start the construction of my house."

"If I am successful, I will build my own house because the house i in now is for somebody and has only one room. Due to that, my other relatives highly visit me because they will not have place to sleep. I have planned to build my own house but I have not abe to raise in enough money for that. The coal production I am engaged in here to be able to raise money for that purpose, the price has dropped so badly. Besides the dropped in price, the coal work is very hard for me. Due to that, I am not able to produce more quantities for sell and implement my plan. So, if GD give me the money as promised, I will be able to build my house."

"If we are successful to receive the cash transfer, we will build our own house because the house we are in now is a family house and very old now. We have planned to build our own house right in town here but I have not been able to raise money for that. The coal work we are engaged in here to produce, sell and earn money from it to implement our plan is not giving us much money as expected because there are two many people engaged in it too for business and maybe for the same purpose like ours.. As the result, the price has dropped drastically thereby affecting our plan of building our own house as planned. Part of the reasons we have not be able to build our own house is that I am a parents less child. In other words, my mother and father are no more. As such, things are very difficult for me as it relates everything better like can offer. So if GD will give us the money as was promised, that will be a dream come through for us to have our own home."

"The major challenge for me here is how to raise money to provide for me and my husband . Like I mentioned, my husband is old. And myself too, I am not able to do any physical work that will earn me money. In other words, all the work here that can give people money are all physical work. So it very difficult to raise money since I am not able to do those works."

"The greatest challenge that I am currently facing is unreliable source of income. My spouse and I are currently unemployed and what we produce from our farm is not enough to feed us. For the past six years we have not been able to meet the basic needs of our family which cause us to sometimes go to bed with little or no food. I feel very bad when my kids do not have enough to eat or go to bed hungry."

"Last year I started cookies business as a means of generating funds to support myself in school but it has collapsed because the money was little with so many expensive. The business was used to pay my school fees at the same time feeding my family. Right now I am finding it difficult to pay my school fees because I am no more doing the business I was doing before. If I am opportune to benefit from your program, I I'll use part of the money to make business, pay school fees and engage into cassava farming."

"I have been struggling to see that we build a Kitchen made of iron sheets and an extra bedroom for our children but this has been in vain since we depend on what my husband who is the sole breadwinner brings from his casual job. His earning is little as KES 200 daily which makes us prioritize buying food and other family basic needs rather than thinking of constructing these houses. My Kitchen is old, grass-thatched and its roofing is leaking making us uncomfortable and feel ashamed. With this money, I will prioritize KES 70000 to construct my Kitchen and bedroom for my children and this will bring happiness and peace to my family. I will also consider adding another cow with KES 30000 to enable me to tap more income with the production and sale of milk, this will make us not struggle to provide and bring food to the table for the household."

"I have been struggling financially to provide food and other basic needs for myself. In our area, the available jobs are mainly weeding farms for pay which gives me about KES 300 at the end of the day. This is not sufficient to support my basic needs and initiate developmental projects."

"Receiving this money means a dignified life. I currently stay in a single room house together with my five children. With this big family, a single room house is very small for us. It comes with so much congestion which causes discomfort. I intend to construct a two bedroom house at a total cost of 30,000 KES. A house comfortably accommodating us will boost the respect and dignity of my family."
