"For the past four years, I have been studying for my undergraduate degree. I, however, missed out on my graduation in August due to school fees arrears, which was demotivating. So I spent KES 40,000 of the transfer to clear the same. I also spent KES 3,000 on paying for school fees for my son so he can stay in school. Lastly, I spent KES 10,000 on foodstuff such as maize, rice, beans and sugar. I'm glad that we now have enough food for the household."

"The first transfers enabled us to to purchase the motorcycle which my husband used as a taxi earning us at least KES 300 a day and so after getting the second transfers my husband and I decide I should take care of my health because for so many years I was married to my husband but unfortunately I could not get in the family way and I had happened to lose so many pregnancies through miscarriages which affected my self-esteem in most occasions because I really wanted to grow my family. So after I received the money I took myself to see a doctor and so the appointment, consultation and medication cost me KES 11,950 and considering the transportation fee to the hospital since I went twice it cost me around KES 6,000. I also decide to start my own business which was a store and it cost me around KES 3,500 since I sold basic stuff like maize flour, sardines and even sugar and this business would keep me occupied and I could earn some money as well."
