"Receiving such a huge amount was beyond my imagination and had to thank God so much for giving us another opportunity to rise again out of the struggles we had been undergoing in our family. I was at home that morning and my phone was still charging when I received a message that confirmed the receipt of the money. I could not react to the message immediately but after some minutes, I got a call from a neighbor who was asking me whether I had also received it. At that point, I had to check it up, and lucky enough, I had the money in my account. I was really happy and had to start planning to withdraw since the spending plan was in place."

"After several years of buying milk and sometimes obtaining some from my parents, the transfer I received opened a way that saw us obtain a lactating cow worth KES35000. With the family of two, we are currently enjoying enough supply of milk and even able to sell some every morning to the neighbors who have no cow yet. My wife had also been having an idea of establishing a poultry project. Since we had factored in after receiving the transfer, I had to construct a chicken coop and funded her project with KES5000 that she used in purchasing 15 indigenous breeds of chicken. The project is doing so well at the moment that she had been able to sell some eggs that have boosted her saving plan. I also injected KES15000 into my clothing business. I had been sourcing second-hand clothes from the large vending stores around and selling them at a profit in the markets I had been visiting daily. The project has given me a renewed hope of widening the profit margin as I had been dependent on it for a long time now. I also spent the remaining amount on obtaining a sack of maize at KES2700. I am glad that everything went as we had planned, and we are looking forward to the second transfer that will help us in starting other new projects."

"At the top of our spending list was to ensure that we obtain a good breed of lactating cow. I had been working hard on the daily casual labor in the nearby farms where I would be given at least a liter of milk every day and extra pay whenever the total payment exceeds the cost of milk. This had been straining a lot since I could not save even a cent from my daily work. I was able to spend KES35000 on securing lactating cattle that had been of great help to the household in the past month. We are now able to get enough milk every day saving me from the strenuous work that I had been doing to earn just a little amount. I also ensured that I purchased new clothing for my four children, and obtained two sacks of maize at 5600 that we are still using as foodstuff. I also had an ongoing construction of my son's house that I had to complete and bring in new bedding, furniture, and fix a new door at a total cost of KES7000. With the remaining amount, I managed to settle the debt of KES7000 making me comfortable and free from all debts that have been worrying a lot."

"On receiving my first transfer, I had a lot to do with my family as we had been planning along since I was enrolled in the program. Based on the priorities that we had set, I obtained a bullock at KES17000 that will be useful in providing the much-needed labor on the farms since we needed one to pair it up with the existing bull to make a pair of oxen. We had been hiring oxen from the neighborhood whenever we prepare our lands, but getting one means a lot to us since we will be able to prepare our farms in time and hire out to the neighbors. I also added up KES18000 to the retail business that I had been running. With the scorching hot weather that has cost us a lot in the farming sector, our dependency had shifted fully to the shop and was slowly deteriorating as we would spend all the daily profits and stock as well. Restocking it was necessary at this time as I needed to see it grow and help my family in the future. With my family of seven, the small house that had been living in needed an extension. I had to obtain new iron sheets, some poles, and also paints to match the outside appearance. All these cost KES10000. The construction is soon starting as I was still waiting for the constructor who promised to start anytime this week. With the remaining amount, I set aside KES5000 to pay the labor charges once the construction work is complete, obtained foodstuff worth KEs3000, and used the remaining amount on clothing for my children."
