"I was at home when I heard my neighbors rejoicing about their payments from GiveDirectly. I right away left and went to the place we usually get connected to the network to if my has been sent. To my surprise, as soon as I reached to the place I received a message notification on my phone. When I checked it was the mobile money message from GiveDirectly. I began to dance and went to the house to tell my husband the good news. That afternoon, my husband got ready and went to cash out the money."

"Paying my children's school fees has been a challenge for me. Often times they were sent home due because I had not paid all of their fees. When I got the money I used portion to pay all the balance fees at school. Portion was used to buy a DVD player for entertainment. The balance was used to buy utensils and cuttless."

"Wow! GiveDirectly has display integrity to the letter. This act is shown in their staffs daily. The staffs are polite in how they speak to me and members of my village. This is something that they have done very well. Moreover, GiveDirectly has always kept their promise of sending us transfer unconditionally. I am so happy for this guesture from an NGO with different road map in their scoop of operations. Finally, I haven't seen anything that GiveDirectly has not been doing well. I hope they are around even Longer than they say they would."

"When I received my second transfer, I chose to invest in a dairy cow at a cost of Kshs.30,000.I opted to do this since with my family growing, I needed to ensure that they have enough milk production for consumption, and later when milk is surplus we can sell and use the extra income to settle other house bills. With Ksh, 6,600 I used to purchase one sit and also used to buy a ceiling. I am happy that my house looks neat I no longer fear to welcome visitors whenever they pay a visit to my homestead. I also used Kshs.2,000 to pay a debt that I had. This has also enabled me to be at peace since I no longer get reminders from the owner of the debt on when to pay. With the remaining amount, I used to obtain food for my family members."
