"In comparison to how other NGOs work, I hold onto the opinion that GiveDirectly does well in the way it's staffs handle the recipients. Generally, GD staffs are very friendly and very dedicated in the way they carry on their work. In addition, the staffs are very patient on how they handle the recipients. In contrary, there is nothing that GiveDirevtly does not do well."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly is a life uplifting organization. I am saying so because, through the first transfer which I received from this organization, I was able to start a grocery business which acts as my source of income. Initially, I had no defined way of getting money unlike today because the business is doing well."

"Before GiveDirectly came to register my family as a beneficiary, we were living in a poor state. The house we had was very small and was full of holes on the sides. Going out of the house was not necessary to use the door since there were several openings. In my opinion, GiveDirectly is a good organization that helps everyone without segregations."

"Upon withdrawing the money, the set plan was to pay school fees for my six children, get some goats, build a house and also save some for food. These agendas were more demanding than what I had, thus schools fees became a priority. I paid KES 33600.00 schools fees for my children. Settling the fees issue, was a guarantee that my children would learn comfortably throughout the year without being sent money for fees like how they were used to. I also bought three goats for KES 13500.00. Thereafter, seeing how the drought season was taking shape I opted to use only KES 12000.00 to buy interlocking blocks and save the rest for the family upkeep."

"God willing, I am planning to build an Iron roofed house for my kids. This is because my kids are growing older and need their own space."

"I have been living in one tiny grass-thatched house for the past three years. So, when I received my transfers building a better house was my first plan. I, therefore, spent KES 33,000 on building a 22 Iron-roofed spacious house which is currently in its completion stage. Of, this I used KES 19,000 on 22 Iron sheets, KES 4,000 on the purchase of 20 construction trees, and KES 10,000 on tree cutting costs. Secondly, I also spent KES 5,000 on two sofa seats. This is because earlier on we used to sit on tree trunks as we couldn't afford a seat. Thirdly, I spent KES 2, 400 on three bags of maize. This will help sustain my family while I look for a turn-boy job. Lastly, I spent KES 3000 on the latest clothing fashion. This is because earlier on from my daily casual labor I would only get money for food and second-hand clothes. The rest I have saved towards payment house construction laborers."

"Before receiving the transfer, my spouse and I agreed that we would spend both of them on a retail shop to improve our household income. Initially, we sold fuel on a small scale and offered Mpesa services alongside it. With a family of 8, it was not easy to meet most of our household needs with the income from it. Therefore, when I received the second transfer, I added it to the first transfer that I had saved and used it to put up a retail shop. This was the best move ever since we currently make triple the profits we used to make. I can proudly say that our living standards have improved."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does so well in supporting needy people like me in society. Its staffs are very truthful and very patient with the recipients. It also does well in creating awareness to all the community members, as a result, none of my community members has been deceived. I have not been able to observe what GiveDrectluy does not do well."
