"I have a family of eight with six being children. My husband and I do casual jobs earning very little income which caters for food and school fees. I have four children who are schooling and have a fees balance of $400 . I will use $400 to clear the balance so that they can settle at school and improve their performances. I will also use $100 to buy a cow as an investment. This will help me raise fund for my children when they need fees in future. The remaining amount will help me renovate my house and make it a permanent one."

"I have been obtaining milk for my family from my in-laws, but this has led to conflicts with my mother-in-law. She perceives it as a burden, and sometimes we engage in verbal disputes, which I find unpleasant. Consequently, I've been compelled to seek an alternative source of milk. Purchasing it is expensive, and with a large family of six young children who constantly require milk, I end up spending $0.8 a day on this commodity alone, even before addressing other basic needs. My husband, a primary school teacher, earns a meagre $800 per month, making it challenging to provide for all our necessities. Recognizing the strain on our budget and the recurring conflicts, I saw an opportunity for a lasting solution. I decided to invest in a cow to meet our immediate milk needs and also for future investments. I anticipate that the cow will reproduce and multiply, and I will be selling its offspring to support our children's education.
Having spent $250 on the cow, I have saved the remaining amount. I plan to combine it with the third transfer to build a two-roomed iron sheet house. The current living conditions are cramped, with eight of us squeezed into a small space. Some of my children have to sleep in the living room, while the younger two share our bedroom, which is far from ideal. The prospect of having an additional house brings a sense of relief, ensuring that everyone can sleep comfortably and affording us, as parents, a bit more privacy."

"My grandson was about to begin high school, but his father was unable to cover the full admission cost. There were numerous other expenses as well, including school uniforms, stationery, and other necessities. My son was overwhelmed by the financial burden, so I helped him by contributing $20. As a family, we are now happy that my grandson is in school, and we are looking forward to seeing him achieve his educational aspirations. In addition to helping with my grandson's education expenses, I also spent $50 on purchasing a goat. I now own six goats, which I acquired by saving a portion of the transfer every month. Since my income from hawking various products is not very high, owning goats is a good investment for me. I can rely on them for financial needs or even exchange them for cows. With the remaining amount, I bought foodstuffs for my family, and we had enough food to eat without facing any shortages despite some financial challenges."

"My current priority revolves around my aim to acquire a cow, recognizing it as a valuable and enduring investment that extends beyond the period of receiving transfers. The cow's potential to generate income will be instrumental in addressing my needs. Upon successfully attaining this goal, my next endeavor will involve the restoration of my house to its former condition. I appreciate having a well-equipped cooking space now and express gratitude for the support received through the transfers."

"Wealth is defined in so many ways across the world. My definition of wealth is having a big flock of cattle since when you have so many cattle you can always sell animals whenever possible to sort out your needs. I want to be a wealthy man by my definition. I want to build this transfers to build wealth. I have been investing in chicken which I plan to continue spending on which I will finally sell off to buy goats and finally sell the goats off to buy cows which for me are the ultimate measure of how much someone is worth."

"I have a family of six members and I do casual jobs and subsistence farming. My husband is aged and sick that he cannot work anymore. I have a boy who is mentally challenged and he shares the same house with us the parents. This is against our culture since a grown up man is not supposed to share house with their parents. I lack the capacity to build a house for him . I will use $550 to build a two room house for my son. My intention is to see him getting well and also marry a wife to start their family. I will also use $550 to buy one cow for dairy purpose. This is a best investment that will sustain my life and the family."

"Currently, I am buying building materials in bits with an aim of building a more spacious house. This is because the house I currently live in is small and I cannot start a family with it. Having a more spacious house is also advantageous especially when one has visitors as one will not have to worry about their accommodation. In addition to this, I am aiming at owning a cow one day. I am planning to make some baby steps towards achieving this goal. First, I am planning to expand my poultry project. Once I have many chicken, I can sell some and use the money to purchase a goat or two. I will in turn rear the goats until they will have increased in number and later use the proceeds that I will get from selling them to purchase a cow. With this, I'll be getting milk for our consumption and for sale."
