What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money will assist us in a lot of ways. We have been struggling to finish the house ever since we built it. It now needs to get plaster, cemented floor, good windows and doors. In addition,we shall purchase extra bags of maize to be food secure as the one we harvest is never enough to last until the next farming season. Most of the times, we also face difficulties in going to the nearest trading centre either for emergencies or just to buy other things. If there will be some money, I will encourage my husband to buy a second hand motorcycle so as to ease these transport challenges.
What is the happiest part of your day?
As a parent who is surrounded by houses of my kids, it brings me happiness to still see them here each day of my life. All the grandkids so far are here with me too and getting to chat with them each day is the happiest part of my day. I am grateful for all these moments.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We live in an area which is far from the main trading centre and travelling by bicycle is a problem. This makes it hard for us to access some services such as medical care, receiving of coupons or relief items, schools for our children as well as food and whenever we need to buy something. Hence, lack of transportation hinders us greatly to access some things on time.
