How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have gotten back my gardens which I hired out (soft loan)and I'm now eating healthy which I could not have done if I had not gotten the transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly has helped people to build permanent houses, eating health and farming which people could have not done.Give Directly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer to support the families of my 3 children at 300000ugx, my husband took 200000ugx for gardening, 800000ugx I paid for my the 2 gardens which i had rented out,bought bed sheets at 30000ugx and bed at 110000ugx,solar panel at 30000ugx.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I Purchased a mattress at 120,000ugx,a pair of bedsheets at 30,000ugx in order to improve on our living conditions. I paid off the mortgage of 600,000ugx and regained ownership of an acre of land that we had mortgaged. I purchased planting materials and ploughed land at 300,000ugx in order to enable early planting of crops. In order to look smart, I purchased a pair of clothes at 50,000ugx that I will be putting on whenever I am going for a journey or meeting, this has elevated my self esteem. I gave my spouse 100,000ugx in order to sort out his personal needs and the balance of 500,000ugx I spent for feeding the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my first transfer , I chanted songs of praise and danced with joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest differnece in my daily life is that my life has improved since I am able to eat a balanced diet hence improved immunity. Before, We used to feed on one meal a day or even spend a day without a meal.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Back pain is one of my biggest hardship.My back has been paining me for the last two years.This normally interrupts with my day to day activities like subsitence farming and bussiness.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning.This is the time I normally go to the garden to view my crops, see how my crops are growing, maturing and flowering.This makes me proud of my labour and efforts
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means paying a debt and recovering my land.This money will help me pay a debt of money that,I borrowed to buy cement to repair the floor of my house.
