What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on purchasing decent clothes for the family members and invested in a maize business which my wife is currently operating. I also purchased food for the family consumption and spent the larger percentage of the amount on paying dowry that has increased the free interaction with the inlaws.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that, I don't strain so much on the casual jobs to get income because right now, my wife has a business started using the third transfer hence help each other to take care of the basic needs..
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did a good job in our village by making the community members to be aware of the project and allowed them to make a personal decision to participate or not to participate in the project.

I spent my first transfer to buy 2 sheeps for 5000 KES, i also bought a sack of maize for 2300 KES. The remaining 2700 KES i spent on daily household expenses
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to spend my upcoming transfer to build a better house and the remaining transfer i plan to start a cereal business in our local market.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy cement, timber, round poles, nails, iron roofing sheets and cedar poles which I will use to build a better house for my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked as a casual worker and after saving my earnings for a while I was able to build my current house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of a sustainable source of income for myself. This means that I can hardly afford to provide basic needs for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in evening after getting some money. I usually use the money to buy food for my family and when I arrive at home they always thank me for the food, this makes me very happy.
