What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent a larger portion of the transfer to complete cementing my house because it was a halfway cemented. I purchased some sofa set chairs because the ones I had were too old which didn't match my well cemented house. I also paid my two children in primary school fee with the reaining portion.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The difference that I have at the moment is that my family now live in a clean house compared to the one we were living in before the transfer which was earth.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The good thing GD does is that it doesn't restrict us on how to use the money. I'm actually not aware of what they didn't do well.

I spent most of my transfer to plaster and renovated my house because my house was almost falling down, the remaining balance l spent to buy food for my family.

My biggest difference is that my house now looks very decent after plastering and it looks strong.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy blow drier for 3500 KES, 3500 KES i spent to buy chair cushion , 1500 KES i paid school fee for my child and the remaining cash i spent on food for the family.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I'm planning to renovate my house by my upcoming transfer. I will also pay school fee and buy furniture for my house.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use part of the money to re open a business . Secondly l would wish to do farming since I have land for farming. Lastly l would like to pay school fees for my children who are in high school.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that l used to stay in a very small house but now I built a better house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship in life is my health conditions since I am Hiv positive.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when all my children are able to go school without being sent home for school fees.
