What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving this cash transfer feels like a dream come true, as I have been planning to build a house but have not been able to due to financial difficulties. My plan is to allocate KES 12,000 from the first cash transfer to purchase 12 pieces of iron sheets, and use the remaining money for food and other household essentials. With the second cash transfer, I aim to construct a two-room house for my family, ensuring enough space for me when I marry. The third cash transfer will go directly to goats, as my land is ideal for livestock keeping, because it is not suitable for cultivation.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My joy arrived in May when I purchased two goats from my hard-earned savings. Now, I am a proud livestock owner, and this achievement has given me the confidence to believe that anything is possible when you remain focused on your dreams.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The primary challenges I am currently encountering the lack of steady employment and a dependable source of income. I am solely reliant on casual labor, which is both inconsistent and scarce in my area. Additionally, the rising cost of living has intensified these struggles, as the little I earn is insufficient to meet even my most basic needs, making everyday life increasingly difficult.
