I spent my third cash transfer on 18 bags of cement 13,000 KES, cedar poles 4,000 KES, sand 8,000 KES, labor charge 5,000 KES, clothes 3,000 KES, shoes 1,000 KES, 1 sac of maize 3, 800 KES, matters 4,000 KES, paid school fees 2,000 KES, water used at the construction site 2,000 KES, paid hospital bill 1,500 KES and bought food with 700 KES.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to start a business that will bring in daily income. This way I will be independent and will no longer rely on handouts.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is that I bought a parcel of land and built a big house. Had I not received this cash transfer I would still be a beggar.

When i received the money i went bought building materials like timber,iron sheets,nails,ropes,sand which took me 40000KES including labor charges. The remaining 10,000KES I used to buy food for the labores and my family.

There is a big difference because i now have a good house and i am happy.

I spent my token payment as follows: 5500 KES on 10 cushions, 1600 KES on a super drum, 1080 KES on a sack of maize and the remaining 1820 KES on tableware.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to construct a semi-permanent house of 17 iron sheets and buy a cow with this my upcoming lumpsum payment.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Am planning to use part of the money to build a bigger house, buy furnitures in my house and pay school fees for my children in secondary school.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is building this house iron sheets house since I used to live in a grass thatched house but now I have a better house and kitchen.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is am HIV positive and a widow, iam on drugs and It's very hard to take drugs without food. I don't have the energy to do hard jobs it becomes very hard for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I do my housework.
