What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 500,000 UGX on buying iron sheets and timber, then I bought an ox worth 700,000 UGX and I also spent 200,000 UGX on paying my loans, and I am keeping 200,000 UGX as pocket money for children. The balance of the money I spent it on feeding my family through the festive season.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly helped me alot by giving me money that clear my loans, build my house and that money has enabled me take care of my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life was miserable before I received the cash transfers. I was not leading a normal life however when give directly sent me the transfers my life changed drastically in that I am now healthy and very happy.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paying my children's school fees because they used to chase them home every now and then and buying them school bags, bought a cow at 750,000 ugx, solor at 100,000 ugx and clothes for my whole family and my self.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I recieved my money, I felt peace within myself and began planning immediately. I then knew my financial problems were now solved.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, my children now stay at school unlike before when they could be chased for fees and stay for a month plus.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of money. I can not even start up a business that i would wish to venture in because i can not afford for example i would love to buy agricultural products like beans, maize and either stock or buy from one markert and sell from another as a way of generating more money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is always in the evening when i am done with a day's work, I have money and I am sure i can afford a meal for my family.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means i can be able to buy myself a motorcycle that i can ride and get money to buy a piece of land to farm in, buy acow so that my family can take milk and generally raise my children well.
