Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt extremely happy when I received the cash transfer. I was depressed before the cash transfer was sent.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The cash transfer has enabled us afford food and medical care. Previously,life was unpredictable with no money to access better health care. I also cleared the longtime debt burden and even reclaimed back my farm land.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent UGX400000 to clear an old debt. I bought a cow worth UGX550000 and a mattress worth UGX100000 and a bed worth UGX100000.The rest of of the cash transfer was spent on medical bills and food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to retrive the piece of land that I leased out, buy oxen that will support in cultivation and a cow that will provide milk for my family. I believe these will support my household better.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I am listening to radio programs. Presenters make fun that makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of money that would otherwise enable me to fullfill the desires of my heart. I have for long wanted to have cows at home but I have not yet had the opportunity because I can not afford.
