What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means building a spacious house for my family. I am currently living in a one bedroom house together with my grandchildren and it lacks privacy. I will build a two bedroom house at a cost of KES 80000. I will also use KES 20000 to buy one cow as investment. The remaining KES 10000 will be used to buy food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Our village has faced drought for the last two years. It is hard to get clean water for domestic use. A 20 litre plastic of water goes at KES 50. Last week, we received relief water from county government of Kilifi. The water will serve me for two weeks. The water brought happiness in my life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My house has a grass roof and it leaks during rains season. This has caused pneumonia to me. So lack of house is the current challenge I am facing.
