How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
We are staying a happy life and we are also eating well. I also bought the Maasai shuka that I lacked. I now have what I have been longing to have for many years but due to lack of money, I have been unable to buy it. I really thank Give Directly for having changed my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
An additional goal for my life for the next four months is to buy beddings because the old ones are already torn. I have been longing to do so though I have been saving money towards school fees. I now thank God I would a little extra to buy bedding.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am happier and healthier. Initially, I looked emaciated and hopeless in life due to frequent sickness and hunger. It is because I used to work very hard and not eat well. I am a casual laborer and the wages I got on a daily basis were never enough to cater for the family needs on a daily basis. This meant sleeping hungry in with an intention of sacrificing for other pressing needs such as paying school fees for my grandchild, especially when they were almost doing exams. I am glad that is no longer the case because we can now afford to eat well. There is a great change in our lives, my neighbors are even wondering about the great developments in my family both healthwise and material wise.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I do not expect any change but I want to have a good and happy life the way I am today.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
In the last few months, I have been able to buy a few household items such as a new table and a large cooking pan. To me, these are quite great achievements especially the pan which to me was a need. Borrowing such kind of a pan from my neighbours was a bad experience for me because I could always hear them talk bad about me whenever I went to them. They even gave me a nickname because of that and I thought that it would be best if I had my own, which I am glad I do now.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have old blankets and bed sheets which adds to my health problems because I cannot stay warm enough at night. I would like to save some of these transfers so that I can buy one warm duvet which is a huge priority to me especially now that we are approaching the rainy season which usually has very chilly nights.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been sickly lately which has made it almost impossible for me to work to earn my own income. Having no money and nothing to eat usually makes my condition worse because of lack of proper medication accompanied by emotional stress. Over the last four months, I have witnessed significant improvement in my general health which I attribute to these transfers because as much as I don't have a definite source of income, I have learnt how to manage the little that I get every month to take care of my needs. The satisfaction has given me peace of mind which has positively affected my general health.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My two neighbours and I are planning to come together and form a table banking group so that we can save some of the remaining transfers before the project comes to an end. When I receive my share, I will start a business so that even when this project is over, I will still be able to make some money for my daily use to avoid depending on my son who is also burdened by his large family.
