How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
In the last four months, my life is different from how it would have been in that my children are always in school. Before the transfers, my children were been sent home every month because I could not be able to keep up paying in time. This is because I do not have any source of income. I only depend on farming activities to sustain my family needs. This could not give much to help me meet all my demands hence I would fail to pay school fees for my children in time. With this transfer, I was able to clear the balance of the fee and they have never been sent home again for the same.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to take my wife for a tailoring course. This will help in improving my financial status because my wife will be involved in an income generating activity to help us financially since I cannot work as at now.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life since I received this transfer is that I have a big and iron roofed house. Before the transfers, I used to live in a leaking grass thatched house which I have been living in for the last two years. I was operated on and hence I could not get involved in hard labor. This is the reason why I could not get enough money to buy building materials on my own. I had no option but to put up in the grass thatched house. When I received my first transfer, I went to buy building materials such as iron sheets, timber, and nails which I used in building a new house. I am glad GD took away my shame.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would want to start a business for my wife. This will help us get an income which we will use to meet my family demands and to pay for my wife's tailoring course. I know when she is done with the course and starts a tailoring shop we will have a stable source of income to meet our needs in time.
