How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving these transfers, I had only one mattress that we shared with our chidren and I never had cow of my own. Having recieved these unconditional cash transfers, I bought a seperate mattress for me and my spouse that has given us comfortable night sleep. In addition, I acquired a cow that is going to help me with my children's future education.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that I spent to buy a cow, separate mattress for me and my spouse. GiveDirectly has only done good on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase a cow, a goat, hens, a mattress, bulket, utensils, clothes and foodstuffs.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life has greatly changed in that, I have bought additional mattress, a bed and beddings that have made my night so comfortable. farther more, I have owned an ox that I believe will help me in ploughing my farm land next year when its fully grown. Previously, I had one mattress and a bed sheet that was not fitting my self, spouse and child. I am currently hiring oxen for ploughing my farm land that is expensive and delays ploughing, since they are not available in time.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was over whelmed my joy the moment I received this transfer, because I knew that I was going to address my most pressing needs.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to purchase a cow at UGX 500,000 a bed, a mattress, bed sheets, blanket and food at UGX 400,000, I also lent out UGX 300,000. I have not yet spent UGX 500,000 but I intend to spend it for farming activities.
